How big will the new building be? How many new classrooms will the Faculty of Law building have when the project is complete?
The new building is slated to be about 12,491 square meters (134,452 square feet), which will provide almost a 20% increase in size over the school’s current cramped quarters. The new building will have a beautiful three-story forum at its centre with sight lines through the building. This forum converts into a large auditorium or informal gathering space for groups. The building will also have spacious classrooms and seminar rooms. The building is well-designed for the Faculty’s current curriculum, which offers first-year students class sizes of about 45 students per class, while also creating flexibility for student participation in a wide variety of learning environments in different class sizes for decades to come.
