How big will the International Space Station be compared to the MIR space station?
The International Space Station will be more than four times as large as the Russian space station Mir. It will be 361 feet from end to end, and have a mass of 500 tons. Once completed, it will provide 46,000 cubic feet of pressurized living and working space, equivalent to the volume of a 747 jumbo jet.
