It really depends on the size of the tank, whats in it, and the amount of fish. If you have a large tank with lots of places for the fry to hide, you really don’t need to seperate them. If you only have the parents in the tank, most of the time the female will chase them into a hiding spot. The male on the other hand might eat them. It really all depends on how comfortable the fry are. If they are hiding around rocks or plants most of the time they feel threatened or scared. If they are out around the top or swimming around like they’re normal sized, they don’t feel threatened there shouldn’t be a problem with the parents eating them. If you’ve already seperated them, a good size to put them back in is larger than the parents mouth.(or big enough so that they can’t be eatten) Thats mainly the problem with breeding guppies: the adults tend to eat the fry.
