How big is the worlds largest crocodile?
An Indo-pacific crocodile 28 feet 4 inches long was shot on the MacArthur Bank of the Norman River, Queensland, Australia by Mrs Kris Powloski in 1957. Kris’ husband Ron was a recognised crocodile expert and measured the body. Sightings of giants like this persist in remote parts of Asia and Australia. The African Nile crocodile is said to approach these sizes as well. One mammoth individual in Burundi is over 23 feet long.
