The Tiree Array site covers an area of approximately 360km2. Within this site, the exact area SPR will apply for permission to build upon will depend on further site investigations to determine any environmental, social or technical constraints. Tiree has no statutory rights to participate in this process. SPR have committed themselves to consulting the community during the investigation but have not defined the nature of the consultation process.
