How big is the sensor? How deeply does it get inserted?
The sensor is about the size of a dime and is made from a plastic material. The portion of the sensor that gets inserted under the skin is less than a millimeter wide (1 mm is about the thickness of a few strands of human hair) and it is inserted only about 5 mm under the skin. Studies indicate that a vast majority (80.2%) of users found the insertion no more painful than a finger-stick test.
