Call it an early holiday gift swap. A crew from Asheville’s Biltmore Estate has decorated the set of ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America,” bringing some local cheer to a national TV audience. And in return, the show will broadcast its weather segments live 7-9 a.m. Dec. 9 from the Biltmore House. The “GMA” weather segments, hosted live by show weatherman Sam Champion, will be “done in different spots around the house,” said Biltmore spokeswoman Kathleen Mosher. The TV broadcast will take place before the estate opens for the day, and will not have any impact on visitation, she said. For now, “GMA” visitors can tune into the program each morning through the holidays, to get a taste of Biltmore’s holiday flavor. A team from Biltmore’s floral department traveled to New York City last Friday to decorate two “GMA” sets.
