There is some difference in opinion as to how big Moors Valley Country Park is. The website of the Save Itchen Valley group states that Moors Valley is 8,000 Hectares. This figure refers to all woodland owned by East Dorset District Council. Moors Valley Country Park itself (half owned by East Dorset District Council and half owned by the Forestry Commision) is 303 Hectares (confirmed by Moors Valley Visitor Services).
