Based on the smallest free-swimming members of this species, newborn Mantas are about four feet (1.2 metres) across. Very few newborn Mantas have been reported and we know almost nothing about where they are born.Ed. Note: Recently there was a birth of a Manta at an Okinawa aquarium.
