How big is a ladybird?
SIR – I was recently given a beautifully made ladybird house for my birthday. The instructions inside say: “The size of the hole in this ladybird box makes it suitable for ladybirds up to the size of a sparrow or nuthatch.” It is made in China, for Sainsbury’s, and there is a “careline” for comments. I am at a loss to know what comment to make.
