How big does a sulcata tortoise get?
Please, please read this link before you commit to a sulcata. http://www.turtlerescues.com/sulcata_cha… This is a copy of an answer I recently gave to another young person considering getting a sulcata. “Sulcatas are a life-long commitment. They get very big and very heavy and are very strong diggers. They eat large amounts of greens and grasses and poop out large amounts as well! It is like owning a small cow. Unless you already own your own house (preferably in Arizona or someplace with similar climate) then keeping a juvenile or adult sulcata will become very difficult. The babies are adorable but they don’t stay that way and the rescue centers are already over run with sulcatas that people have given them up when they got too big.
