BROOKSVILLE – Students, teachers and principals have to deal with regular evaluations that measure how they meet specific goals. Soon, superintendent Wendy Tellone might be held accountable to similar standards. Several School Board members say it makes sense to grade Tellone’s performance using measurements, such as Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test scores, student dropout rates and teacher retention rates. They will decide at a workshop Tuesday afternoon whether to revamp the way they grade Tellone. “I think that’s the direction in which we’re moving,” School Board member Sandra Nicholson said. For her part, Tellone said she would welcome such a move by board members.
