How best to cook deer meat?
Venison is very lean meat. It is a little more difficult to cook than beef. It is best served rare to medium rare. Try marinating in some sort of oil and red vinegar with garlic and spices for a few hours then wrap in sliced bacon and rub with herb mix. Roast on rack starting with hot oven then turn it lower after 15 min.. BBQ grilling works as well. coals on 1/2 of the grill. Sear the meat on the coal side till browned (watch the flames) finish cooking on the cool side.
