Get some Barkeeper’s Friend. It’s a powdered cleanser but not nearly as harsh as scouring powder. Barkeeper’s works wonders on metals. It’s so gentle that it is safe to use on a ceramic top stove but still has enough oomph to take grease and burned on things from stainless cookware. Just sprinkle some of the product on a damp sponge and give the tea pot a good scrub all over. Rinse really well and dry. Your tea pot should look like new again. Barkeeper’s is cheap, available in a lot of stores and actually made from rhubarb leaves. It also works great on sinks, tubs, showers and a lot more. I have a stainless tea pot and all stainless cookware and this is what I use to keep them all shining!
