How bad is buying a salvage title vehicle?
WOW not such a good idea. Flood damaged cars can have some serious problems. If you are prepared to spend thousands of dollars replacing the ENTIRE electrical system then go for it, but be warned that a salvage title is forever and you will never get a good trade in or resale price for it. I see a fully loaded Solara V6 SLE has a retail of around 16000, but you will have to spend 5 Gs or more to replace the wiring harness, and the components, and thats a low estimate to do it yourself. You see, once the electrical system has been submerged, then corrosion starts, and will never stop unless everything is replaced, and I mean everything, all of the wires, switches, gauges, stereo, have already been affected, since you say sometimes it wont start.
