Having lived in both DC and LA, I think Atlanta traffic is a dream. Of course, it’s still a city and it definitely has a traffic problem. The morning rush hour begins around 6:30am and runs through about 10:00am, which is pretty typical for a large city. The evening rush hour runs from about 4:00pm to 7:00pm – again, pretty typical. If you are planning a visit, try to plan around these times. If you are thinking of living there, I suggest staying overnight on a weeknight before you commit to the move to see what you think.
