How are you to dispose cooking oil used in deep frying when used in a home situation?

If you’re talking about liquid oils, I save plastice bottles and pour the used oil in them (with a funnel AFTER it has cooled down) to dispose of used oils. Any container you can put a lid on tightly will do. If the fat used will solidify when cooled (lilke shortening or lard) then wait for it to cool back to solid and just scrape it into the trash. Remember, you can reuse you cooking (frying) oil several times. Be sure you strain it though, and don’t attempt to reuse it if it reached 400 degrees or more.
