How are wiki spreadsheets different from desktop spreadsheets?
Wiki spreadsheets, and especially wikiCalc® by Software Garden® are built to take advantage of web technologies for multiuser real time updating. This means that your spreadsheet can automatically gather information from the web for you which can save you hours and hours of surfing for information. It also means that several people can update the same spreadsheet online so the information in the spreadsheet is always the most current available. We strongly recommend that you view wikiCalc® 0.97 screencast by Dan Bricklin to get a feel for the wikiCalc® spreadsheet core functionalities. The iWoorx modified wikiCalc® has some added features which are targeted at business users, and we show some of them here in these test drives. Wiki spreadsheets currently have a practical limit of about 10,000 cells in Internet Explorer and about 20,000 cells in Firefox. Larger spreadsheets can take longer for the browser to load and display than most users will tolerate.
