How are VSO Oversease Challenges organised?
VSO organises the events through a reputable (ATOL protected) tour operator in the UK, Charity Challenge. They will arrange the details of the trip and use a local ground agent to arrange all our accommodation, meals, transfers etc. The trips are very well organised, and are organised to be on dates that are within season for trekking on Kilimanjaro. Charity Challenge is very conscious of the impact on the environment and is currently working on ways to reduce the carbon footprint of the treks, as well as providing fair wages to staff overseas (please see further details in the responsible tourism section). You will be well looked after, so all you have to concentrate on is the challenge ahead!
