How are visits counted when the patient is under routine home care and moved into an inpatient unit under RHC. What if they are moved into an inpatient unit under respite care?
All visits provided under routine home care must be line item billed using 15-minute increments. Visits provided by hospice staff under respite must also be line item billed using 15-minute increments. Visits provided by non-hospice staff to a patient in a contracted facility under respite are not reported.
