Erection of tubular steel poles (TSPs) is done in several steps. First, a crane is placed in the right of way near the foundation. A section of pole is delivered by truck and lifted into place by the crane. Additional sections are delivered, lifted into place and bolted together by crews. When the tower sections are in place, the cross arms are then lifted and bolted in place.
