Trapezoid is actually trapezium, its American english.trapezium is British English. And Quadrangles is Quadrilateral , a boundary surrounded by four lines.Quadrangles are normally used to describe building structures. Now,a trapezoid / trapezium has 2 (opposite)sides of same length and others are different ( Has to be different ,coz or else it will be a square or rectangle).Apparently, angles in the same edge( of the unequal lines) are similar and mirror image of each other. But Quatrilaterals are any figure with four lines surrounding them.they can make any angle and any length in the lines. Hence, all trapezoids are quadrangles but all quadrangles are not trapezoids.
