How are transfer credits for other postsecondary studies displayed on the degree progress report?
Currently, transfer credit is only recorded on a student’s record in the student information system as the total number of credits that have been awarded to a student for studies at another institution. In some cases, Faculties may choose to manually record the transfer credits based on the requirements that they have satisfied. If so, you will see messages such as “Credits granted” in the report results. If you received a transfer credit statement upon admission to York, a link will appear on the report for your reference. Note that some Faculties and programs may have chosen to not offer the degree progress report for students with transfer credit to minimize issues with viewing the report results.
