How are they environmentally friendly ?
A HAP, in its airship form, requires virtually no fuel. It acquires its lift from helium and only needs power to stabilize its position. At its high altitude and with its large surface area a HAP is ideally suited for the use of solar power. In fact a well designed HAP can be self powered for many months storing sufficient energy to operate over night-time hours.
