How are the working conditions in maldives for single female doctors from india?
Although I’m not an Indian doctor in Maldives I can try to give you an answer. There are two hospitals in the capital of Maldives, Male’. One is the joint run hospital by the government and the Indian government called Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). The other one is a private hospital called ADK hospital. A week ago in the ADK hospital two of their only gynecologists resigned due to working environment being unsafe and because the hospital do not provide sufficient protection for them. As a result the hospital’s gynecologist department was completely closed, which meant no health care for any pediatric patients, emergency or not. Sometime back there was a case at the ADK hospital where a baby heart already had stopped when the patient had arrived due to the stomach feeling too cold, they neglected the patient not even been aware that a baby was not alive when she went to the doctor.
