How are the wireless controllers powered? How long will they last?
The controllers are powered by 2 AA batteries or an optional rechargeable battery pack called the “Play & Charge Kit”. The quoted figures for battery life are 40 hours on AA cells and 30 hours on the Play & Charge kit. These figures are probably significantly affected by the vibration/rumble features of the controller. For this reason, Microsoft has allowed you to select how powerful or weak the vibration feedback is to raise or lower the battery consumption accordingly. Note that most games simply allow vibration to be turned on or off although some may support the variable levels.
