How are the values determined?
The trade-in values stated in the InFocus Technology Upgrade Program are based on their value in the used or secondary marketplace also known as Fair Market Value (FMV). Market Velocity maintains relationships with dozens of remarketers throughout North America and also maintains a proprietary pricing database which feeds the InFocus Technology Upgrade Program web site. We pass along whatever the remarketers will pay for the used equipment to you. It is best to think of the trade-in value as the used wholesale value. Recycling fees include the cost to recycle the product according to environmental guidelines (US and Canada) and the cost to ship the product to the recycler.
