How are the teams selected?
Team selection is done using a variety of information, and covering many different areas. During tryouts a number of statistics are kept to give the coaching staff some objective data to help with team selection. Some of those statistics include; % of pocket hits, % of spares made, % of strikes carried, average pinfall on 1st ball, average, and % of splits converted. Beyond all of the objective data, the coaching staff is also looking at other areas of importance like teamwork, communication, attitude, past competitive history, and the student-athletes ability to get along and work with others.
