Generally in Canada, universities run on a three-trimester system: Fall, running from September to December, Winter or Spring, from January to April, and Summer, from May to August, with a between-semester holiday such as Christmas and New Year’s Day. The summer term is usually divided into two sessions May-June and July-August.
