How are the search pages on the CCI Online changing and why?
Currently, the CCI Online search engine is being retooled to handle the increased content, now that all the data is available on the site. Consequently, the searches do not find all available records. Until the programming of the new search is completed, this version of the search engine must be considered pre-beta. In the meantime, many useful searches can be carried out using Google. Originally, the project was started without funding, so Hooker & Perron created the search in prototype to allow potential funders to see the direction the project would be taking. This search prototype used the free PicoSearch site search engine, an excellent and flexible search service, but one with page limits far below the more than 33,000 existing CCI records.
