How are the school closures due to winter snow effecting kids in Portland?
The Beaverton School district has closed it’s schools for the third day in a row, which is very rare. Talking to one child out of school she explains how, although the snow is nice, she misses her teacher and is dissapointed she is missing Australia Night at her school where she has a project on Lorikeets she worked very hard on. Today snow continues to fall and create icy conditions as the temperatures stay at about freezing with a mix of snow and freezing rain at times.
