How are the RSPCA trying to stop it?
The RSPCA campaigned to keep the use of animals to as little as possible, and they were able to secure amendments to the proposal by joining working groups, taking part in consultations and discussing issues with MEPs and members of staff from the European Commission. They called for the replacement of animal testing by using existing information on chemical safety and the compulsory sharing of data on tests by companies.
