How are the results announced?
For a time, celebrities announced the winning numbers, including Bruce Forsyth, Harold Macmillan (below) and Dame Judi Dench. Winners are now notified through the post. Can I take part in the 50th anniversary draws? To be eligible, you must buy your bonds by this Tuesday. All current bonds are eligible for the prizes as normal. They are available from the Post Office, over the phone or online.
Once the results are verified, copies of the monthly lottery winners posters are issued to each of the six HASSRA regional business partmers for onward dispatch to clubs and offices. Additionally, a copy of the results are added to the HASSRA Intranet and Internet sites where the current month and five preceding months are featured. Retired members who take part in the HASSRA lottery are sent their own results posters on a quarterly basis along with their copy of HASSRA Headlines.
