How are the RAC Directors and Executive officers remunerated?
A. – The salary of our only employee, the full-time General Manager, is consistent with compensation practices in Ottawa. Under the RAC Constitution, all other Executive Officers and the Directors must serve without remuneration. They are unpaid volunteers who work out of their homes across the country. They may be compensated for expenses incurred, but many have even absorbed all or many of their personal expenses as a further personal contribution to RAC.
