How are the projection and width measured?

0

As we stated earlier, projection is measured from the back of the installation bracket to the outermost part of the front bar. All awnings have an angle or pitch as recommended by the manufacturer. As the pitch increases, the effective ground coverage, or straight-out measurement decreases. In other words, a 10 foot projection with 2 feet of pitch may yield only 9’6″ of actual ground coverage. Width is the measurement taken from the outside of the frame, not the fabric width. The actual fabric width is typically 4-6 inches less than the overall frame width.
