How are the Police involved in the Police Athletic League?
The afterschool program at PAL is run by trained Program Staff. The staff are not Police Officers. However, The West Chester Police Department is an integral part of PAL. Chief Tom Frame and Chief John O. Green are credited with the existance and revitalization of PAL of Greater West Chester. Our Board of Directors includes several Police Officers. On the third Thursday of every month, a WC Police Officer speaks to PAL members on a variety of topics including, personal hobbies, gun safety, and drug awareness. Officers often stop in to say hello and assist with special events.
