The number of views for each content is the number of times the content has been started, regardless of whether the content was viewed all the way to the end. These numbers are typically updated on the site every few hours. Depending on traffic there may be a delay in the display of content statistics. Rest assured, these stats are still being tracked and you will not lose credit for any views, either public or private.
