How are the new paygrade entry rates determined?

The same way individual employees raises are calculated: Last years (October 1, 2006) entry rate for each paygrade is subtracted from the 2001 fully funded rate and multiplied by the appropriate percentage for each campus. The resulting amount is added to the 10/01/06 rate to establish the new rate for October 1, 2007. Example (for WVU main/HSC/PSC): The [current] October 1,2006, annual salary rate or paygrade 7 is $15,727. The 2001 rate is $17,489. Subtract $15,727 from $17,489 = $1,762 X .445 = $784. $784 + $15,727 = $16,511. The new entry rates for each campus can be found on the HR website at www.hr.wvu.edu. I am a Mountaineer Temp.
