How are the model ships built?
Our model ships are handmade by skillful and experienced craftsmen. They are built according to scale of the original ships using the plank on frame construction method. The hull is joined by multi-pieces of thin wood nailed together and using fine sandpaper to smooth the entire ships, then the ships are decorated with details. Our models are built from scratch not with kits. What types of wood are used to build the ship? The ships are built by a variety of highest quality woods, like rose wood, ebony, English sycamore, black wood, mahogany and teak. Are the models completed? Yes, the model ship is fully assembled and ready for display when received. You do not have to add or do anything at all. How are the models shipped? Please note that all models are fully insured. Each ship is packed securely in a carton box with polyfoam is used to protect the ship from damage.
