How are the mentors selected?

0

Mentor teachers are all experienced teachers, selected each year on the basis of their teaching proficiency as well as their capability to mentor and support adult learners. The role of mentor teacher is a voluntary role, and Mentors are paid for the extra time they spend coaching residents. Since the AUSL program is well established, a majority of AUSL mentor teachers have experience performing the mentor role, some for several years or more. A number of the mentors are also former AUSL residency program graduates.
