As noted above, the MPD has a strong working relationship with the federal, state, local, and specialized law enforcement agencies in the DC area. Specifically, during the upcoming IMF/World Bank event, the MPD is coordinating closely with the key federal agencies (including the US Park Police, Uniformed Division of the US Secret Service, and US Capitol Police) in both developing and implementing security plans. Representatives of these and other agencies will be in the MPD’s Joint Operations Command Center throughout the IMF/World Bank event to ensure close cooperation and coordination of resources. In addition, six other agencies Maryland State Police, Montgomery County Police, Virginia State Police, Arlington County Police, Fairfax County Police and the US Mint Police have committed resources to assist the MPD with this event.
