How are the ioSafe 3.5 Series hard drives used?
Hard drives today are used in two ways, either primary storage or secondary storage. In primary storage, applications read and write information to the hard drive. Secondary storage is used to make a copy or backup of primary storage. The ioSafe 3.5 Series can be used for both primary and secondary storage. Using the ioSafe 3.5 Series for primary storage doesn’t mean that you can stop backing up to a second target. We highly recommend that a copy or backup of the data must still be made to protect the data from logical corruption or accidental deletion.
