How are the IGERT proposal review panels structured?

IGERT panels are interdisciplinary and the range of various interdisciplinary themes is very broad. To form the most appropriate panels for each competition, the IGERT Program Directors and the IGERT Coordinating Committee (ICC) look at proposal titles, abstracts, key words, and departmental affiliations to make decisions about panel structure. The better a PI describes the focus of the proposal, the better job IGERT and the ICC can do.
