How are the hand painted metal items made?
After the designing of the piece, a pattern is made up. These designs are then traced on to flattened recycled 55 gallon steel drums and hand cut by skilled artisans with hammer and chisel. We do not use the thin tin sheet metal that is found on much of the other metal art-work on the market today. All of the details are hammered out to create texture and a rounded life-like appearances. They are treated with a rust preventative paint and then carefully hand painted in the design that you see. All pieces are finished with a protective coat of polyurethane varnish. We strive toward realism and do our best to keep the quality of our designs up to a high level that we are proud to sell, you are proud to present in your shop and your customer is proud to display in their home.
