How are the Grammar and Writing books organized?
Like the Saxon Math books, the Grammar and Writing books are based on incremental development and continual review. They were produced by Stephen Hake, the co-author of Saxon’s middle grades math books, and they take the same approach. Lessons introduce a grammar concept with examples and practice, while the problem set reviews what students have learned previously. Each Grammar and Writing package includes a Student Textbook, which contains grammar lessons, a Student Workbook, which includes writing lessons and supplementary activities, and a Teacher Packet, which includes problem set answers, test masters, and test answers.
