How are the global context symbol authority namespaces managed?
The XRI specifications do not specify any particular management solution for the GCS namespaces. The XRI Technical Committee’s expectation is that communities that need interoperable XRI resolution will manage their own GCS namespaces. There is at least one organization that is offering global GCS namespace management. XDI.org is a non-profit organization founded by a number of interested parties, some of which are members of the XRI TC. However, this effort is not related to or sponsored by the XRI TC.
