How are the funds collected by the CLMA PAC distributed?
The CLMA PAC Board determines which candidates to support and how much to contribute during each election cycle. The CLMA PAC is a bipartisan PAC. The CLMA PAC Board has adopted a set of standards and philosophical goals to guide PAC giving. The following criteria are considered by the Board in arriving at contribution decisions. Each item is weighed according to its value for advocacy purposes: The candidate has demonstrated current or past support for issues impacting the clinical laboratory. That support would be demonstrated by sponsoring or cosponsoring legislation favorable to the clinical laboratory industry or by actively opposing legislation that would adversely impact the clinical laboratory industry.
