How are the final cards points determined?
When you turn in a card, it will be recorded as present/absent and scored 1 or 0, respectively. At the end of the semester, your scores are summed and compared to other students in the class. The top scorer or scorers receive 20 points, and then the next group of top scorers receive 19 points, the next group 18 points, etc. The process is more art than science, but it works. If you turn in a card every time and make a reasonable effort to answer the question, you are virtually guaranteed to earn more than 18 points (an “A”). If you read and study the chapters every week before class, you will likely be among the very top scorers.
