How are the featured items on the front page chosen?
The featured items which are displayed on the front page are chosen by the SummitPost staff on a weekly schedule. One of the elves has the weekly task of reading all new submissions. He chooses the most interesting ones to be displayed on the front page. These duties are rotated through the staff. Proper grammar and spelling are strongly encouraged. Large paragraphs are hard to read and will disqualify the object from consideration for Home Page display. Short reports with little detail cannot be considered.
