The eco-shakes are installed similar to wood shakes. Eco-shakes are individual pieces in widths of 5″, 7″ and 12″, and are 22″ in length, with a maximum exposure of 10″ to the weather. The eco-shakes should be nailed over solid decking with 30# felt applied directly to the deck. The eco-shakes can be installed with either straight or with staggered coursing for a more shake-like appearance. The eco-shakes can be installed in all climates and are acceptable for both residential and commercial pitched roof applications.
